The Annual New Years Eve Party!

Each New Year’s Eve, we host a unique and wonderful party and our annual fundraiser at The Celtic on Market Irish Pub in Downtown Denver to kick off the new year “Irish style.” We have an Irish band and session players, Irish step dancers, and the famous Michael Collins bagpipe band. We toast the new year at 5:00 pm MST (7:00 pm EST) because that is when it turns New Year’s Day in Dublin, Ireland.
For this year’s Irish New Year’s Eve celebration at The Celtic on Market, we are offering three levels of sponsorship. They are listed below. If you are interested in being a sponsor, please email us at carriganaohcolorado@gmail.com.

Fr. Robinson was an Irishman and was a contemporary of our beloved namesake, Fr. Carrigan. He built current rendition of Annunciation Church in Leadville. As a matter of fact he built three churches in Leadville. He was the one who ministered to many of those families with members buried in the cemetery in Leadville. The current version of the parish that he built in Leadville boasts to have the tallest steeple in the world. Then he came back to Denver and built Annunciation Catholic Church in Five Points. Annunciation is one of our biggest beneficiaries. His name graces one of the world famous F.X. Zettler stained glass windows at the Denver Annunciation Church. He just came on our radar, and we are just making a detailed study of him.
The Very Rev. Joseph P. Carrigan Society

The donation to The Carrigan Society gets you:

Fr. Carrigan is our patron. He was the second priest assigned to the Colorado territory to assist “The Apostle of Colorado”- Bishop Joseph Machebeuf. Fr. Carrigan, who was called “The Boy Priest ”- was brought to Colorado to serve in part in the mountains and spent most of his lifetime up in Breckenridge, Minturn, Fairplay, Glenwood Springs & Leadville ministering to all of those Irish miners. He was named “Dean” of that region. He also spent time in Denver and was responsible for building the iconic St. Patrick’s Parish in Denver’s Highlands. Legend has it that Fr. Carrigan always took up his own collection just before the Mass began. If you did not give what he thought that you should give, he shook the basket below your nose until you came through. That is why you need to really consider this $250 donation. He is probably watching.
The St. Patrick’s Club
